A beautiful day to take photos of nature at Phinzy Swamp. Ryan answered all my questions about function buttons, lens filters, camera bags and Lightroom Classic. I got some beautiful pictures of wildlife to include Osprey, alligators and blue herrings. Ryan guided us to all the hot spots for photography. Enjoyed the class and time in nature. Highly recommend this outing.

This yellow-crowned night heron was first preening itself prior to engaging in the hunt. As it was hunting its favorite food, it gobbled up several for a hearty meal and this photo showcases its ferocious hunger.

I call these Red Shoulder Hawks my backyard love birds. I have photographed these amazing birds for three years now. They have built their nest in a tall pine tree in my backyard each year and I have had the pleasure of also photographing their young chicks as they grow and leave the nest. I used my Nikon Z8 with a NIKKOR Z 100-400 mm f4.5-5.6 VR S with a TC 2.0x teleconverter.

This was taken at a red-shouldered hawk nest in Columbus, GA. The parent was feeding the two chicks in the next (even thought only one was shown in the photo). I appeared as if the parent was teaching its chick to overlook their territory.

The area has a great blue heron rookery where these chicks were nesting. They were standing upright, necks outstretched observing and waiting for the parent to return to the nest to give them some morsels.

I took this image on a Mamiya C220 TLR film camera using Kodak Portra 160 120 film. I went to the park with my son to practice using the camera and I loved the reflection of the houses and the clouds on the water. Very little editing was done on the image after developing and scanning into Lightroom. Really love how the image turned out. The colors are so vibrant and accurate to the scene when photo was taken.

I was soaking in the sun on a beautiful day with my camera and zoom lens when i spotted the dragon fly on the antenna of a car parked car close to my apartment. The vivid colors and the beauty of the moment was no lost on me and i immediately zoomed in with my Tamron 70-300mm lens. I was glad the dragonfly was in no hurry to fly away. I was all smiles when i looked at the end result. The bokeh effect and beauty of the dragonfly. My camera settings were SON

This picture was taken by a large window, three pencils (RGB coloured) were laid on white card which was curved up in the distance, but the curve cannot be discerned due to the very shallow depth of field and even light, giving the impression of infinity into the distance ...
